We love this book! Unusual Animals A-Z is filled with interesting facts about each animal. As a teacher of nearly 20 years, I highly recommend this book for any pre-k to first grade child. The illustrations are unique and fun, and the content is filled with facts!
The book helped our children develop letter recognition, reading comprehension and critical, comparative thinking skills (i.e. discovering what exotic "unusual" animals could be compared to in more common species).
My 4-year-old son liked the interesting, often funny, short stories (and names) made up for each of the strange animals. The writing and illustrations really worked well together.
