Description

STEM companies need visually creative people. Geometric thinking prepares students to creatively visualize objects in various positions and different perspectives. This new Think Tank set enables this essential skill practice for grades 1-6.

This all new set of Think Tanks provides students practice in visual/spatial thinking and reasoning skills in Geometry and Measurement. Think Tank activity cards are written in English on one side and Spanish on the other.

Students work in pairs or independently to complete each activity. The activity cards are separated into easy to understand categories that become progressively more challenging as student move through the Think Tank.

This resource makes for an ideal "center" that allows for math practice throughout the school day. Each Think Tank provides a student progress chart, answer keys, and identifies which activities are best suited to assess the performance of student understanding.

Review Highlights:

The Think Tank Measurement & Geometric Thinking does a great job making geometric thinking fun. There are twelve different subject titles including: Steady Starters, Brain Busters, Fact Finders, Game Changers, Head Expanders, Master Minds, Ponder Puzzles, Problem Posers, Tough Teasers, No Brainers, Quirky Questions and Ready Riddles. The set includes 240 activity cards, answer cards and one reproducible student progress chart. Each card features English on one side and Spanish on the other side. The cards are durable, designed to work in a classroom setting for many years.

The new Think Tank 1st grade measurement & geometry learning resource helps students to creatively visualize objects in various positions and different perspectives using visual, spatial, reasoning, and thinking skills. Separated into 12 categories, each one includes 20 math problems and answer keys. Each category become progressively more challenging as students move through the Think Tank. This box works well for independent students or those working in pairs. The box also includes a student progress chart, which is helpful too.

I really appreciate the fun way that geometric principles are taught and reinforced in the Think Tank Measurement & Geometric Thinking. STEM learning is essential for our children and this is a great resource in teaching STEM.
