Students had fun exploring circuitry, magnetism, conductivity. This was a great way for students to get hands on practice with electricity in a safe and fun way. The scaffolded instructions helped students get started. Then there was lots of room for students to explore on their own and continue to design and iterate different designs. This is a fantastic product. My students and I highly recommend it!

This product is great for students developing both creativity and skills in technology. The instruction book doesn't just explain how the product works. It teaches scientific vocabulary and concepts. They learn what components make up a circuit and all the pieces that have to work together to come up with a successful circuit. When students interact with this product, they will have greater knowledge and comprehension when they cover the unit on electricity at all grade levels. This is a great way to get hands-on experience for the way circuits work, as well as developing and creating unique and individual circuits. The instructions are well written, but there is enough complexity that my kids have developed better problem solving skills as well as attention to detail. While there is room for creativity and imagination, you must follow the instructions precisely for your circuit to work.

I think this product is well made. I'm sure we will get a great deal of use out of it. Plus there are components we can add on to, or buy more pens if necessary. This product is exciting and appealing. It falls into the STEM category of skills and concepts that we are encouraging our kids to learn and develop at younger and younger ages. I like the combination of creative and scientific thinking that this product encourages. This product requires precision, yet allows for imaginative expression, allowing kids to develop both sides of their brains. I learned more about the science of circuits and electricity using this product than I ever did from my science teacher. Prior to using this product, I knew nothing about inputs, outputs, and signal processing, let alone light sensing, timed circuits, and piezoelectric materials. Now my kids are comfortable with this vocabulary as well as figuring out how to put all these elements together on their own.

So many people are looking for good STEM products to inspire their kids, and I think this one should be at the top of the list. What better way for kids to learn the concepts of circuitry and electricity than by having to put it together themselves piece by piece. All too often there is an emphasis on STEM to the neglect of creativity and imagination. This product does a good job of combing both and allowing kids to grow and develop both sides of their brains.
